Chris chooses independence over relationships. When have you chosen to be on your own instead of relying on others? What happened, and would you make the same choice again?

For me personally, I'm an introvert, so I make that choice a lot. Plenty of times I've just wanted to be by myself, even if my friends had plans. I would always make that choice again, because you don't have control of what others can do. You just trust them. I trust myself way more.

Today we read more of into the wild. We created critical thinking questions based on what we read, and if they relate to experiences we've had before.

I enjoyed reading, and got to listen to it as well.

A poem about a young boy doing a man's job with using a saw, eventually kills himself by cutting off his hand. I learned a lesson to always be careful, and do what you want to do as a kid, before doing a man's job.

Write about a truth you were afraid to accept.

One truth I was afraid to accept was when my dog passed away. I didn't believe it but my parents already broke the news. I was in the 4th grade and it was my childhood dog. It was like losing my best friend. It was a very sad day and didn't want to accept it. Today we took notes on arguing. We also did some examples of using ethos pathos and logos. I learned more about the 3 rhetoric appeals and how to properly use them.

In 5th grade, my best friend moved away to somewhere in Florida. I had no clue he was doing that, and for a week straight in school, I noticed that he wasn't at school. So I go up to my teacher and ask where he was. She says that he moved. I didn't want to believe her, but it was the truth. I was the saddest person at school for the next week. I didn't even want to talk to any of my other friends. This represents "Nothing gold can stay" because it represents a great friendship, that sadly had to come to an end. Today in class we read 2 poems by Robert Frost, and did some analyzing on the first one. The second one, we had to answer some questions about it on a worksheet. I got better at using context clues to find definitions of words, even if I don't know what they mean.
