In the spirit of Valentine’s Day week, describe your idea of a perfect day spent with someone you care about (a friend, family member, or significant person in your life).

An idyllic day would be waking up at the crack of dawn for some golf with my dad and brother, after that we would grab lunch, head home and freshen up, then head out on the water and go fishing til sunset, playing tunes and eating good food. Then I would cap the day off watching some sort of sports game(s) with them.

Today we started and worked on our personal rhetorical analysis guide. And we listened to Barack Obama's speech.

I got better practice with identifying the prompt and rhetorical situation.

Last year in AP world, there was an assignment due at 11:59pm on Friday, and I planned to finish it when I got home from school on Friday. But when I got home, I played basketball for an hour or two, and came inside and fell asleep unintentionally. I woke up from the nap at 11pm. Then I remembered about the assignment. I thought it was over for me. But I had to make the decision to not play video games with ALL my friends, and complete the assignment in record time. I ended up finishing it with 10 mins to spare, then I played the game. Today we finished reading "The life you save may be your own". And watched the short movie as well. ' I think the short story was engaging, and an overall good read. I got better at reading comprehension, and I'm ready for the quiz tomorrow.

Imagine you are learning about Hispanic/Latino heritage for the very first time. What would you be curious to know about the traditions, foods, music, or celebrations?

I would want to know about their whole culture. I would want to try their foods and see their celebrations and how they are different than our own. Today we did some more practice with clusters. We had the topic of "Overrated", and we had to put 5 things we thought were overrated. I got better at learning how to format and get ideas for what to write in my essay.
