Thinking about “The Rockpile,” which parent or guardian in your life has been the strictest when it comes to discipline? Explain how their approach to discipline has influenced you or shaped your behavior.

 My mom has definitely been the strictest on me in my life. She has taught me a lot of lessons, so I wouldn't make dumb decisions and have to find out on my own. If I did something bad, I would get punished. Her ways of disciplining me have shaped me to be a better man of myself, and mature. I know what is right, and know what is wrong.

Today we were still in our groups, and we did some extra work on our slides for our presentation.

I learned some new vocab, and finished reading the story. It was a good class today.

Last year in AP world, there was an assignment due at 11:59pm on Friday, and I planned to finish it when I got home from school on Friday. But when I got home, I played basketball for an hour or two, and came inside and fell asleep unintentionally. I woke up from the nap at 11pm. Then I remembered about the assignment. I thought it was over for me. But I had to make the decision to not play video games with ALL my friends, and complete the assignment in record time. I ended up finishing it with 10 mins to spare, then I played the game. Today we finished reading "The life you save may be your own". And watched the short movie as well. ' I think the short story was engaging, and an overall good read. I got better at reading comprehension, and I'm ready for the quiz tomorrow.

Imagine you are learning about Hispanic/Latino heritage for the very first time. What would you be curious to know about the traditions, foods, music, or celebrations?

I would want to know about their whole culture. I would want to try their foods and see their celebrations and how they are different than our own. Today we did some more practice with clusters. We had the topic of "Overrated", and we had to put 5 things we thought were overrated. I got better at learning how to format and get ideas for what to write in my essay.
