Thinking about "The Rockpile," what is something your parents forbade you from doing when you were growing up? Explain what it was and why they might have set that rule.

My parents made sure I wouldn't  ever go across the street to my neighbor's backyard. There was a creek that was stagnant and disgusting that was only home to snakes and other unwanted animals. The creek was super small with no purpose for a human to have with it. They set that rule so I wouldn't get harmed by any animal.

Today we got in groups and started reading "The Rockpile". We shared stories of what would be considered a "rockpile" but in our own neighborhood.

I have never really thought about bad areas in my neighborhood before because It isn't a bad area.
