Miss Emily’s house once represented pride and tradition, but over time it became a symbol of decay and isolation. Describe a place that holds deep memories for you—positive or negative—and explain how it reflects part of who you are or how you’ve changed over time.

A place that holds deep memories for me is my grandma's old house. I have so many fun memories there with my cousin, going down to the nearby creek and exploring it. We would always be looking for animals, cool rocks, or something unexpected! Her backyard was connected to a golf hole, so sometimes in the creek we would find golf balls! haha. But that house changed the way I am today because I still love to explore new areas, and find new things. Because you never know what you may find!

Today in class we started reading a short story and answering questions along the way.

I think I did a good job at reading comprehension in today's short reading.

Write about a time when you realized you needed to look out for yourself in a silly or harmless situation—maybe dodging a pop quiz, escaping a group chat argument, or remembering at the last second to submit an assignment. How did choosing wisely make your life easier?
