In “A Rose for Emily,” Miss Emily’s actions shock the reader—she kills her fiancé and keeps his body in her home for years. People often react with disbelief when they hear about real-life stories that seem just as unbelievable. Write about the most shocking or “craziest” news story you have ever heard. What happened, and why did it stand out to you? How did people react to it, and what does it reveal about human behavior?

There was a story about Alien-like sea creatures that keep washing up on beaches. It was crazy because aliens aren't really talked about that much, and never really had any information about them. Maybe they could've just been some weird looking sea creatures. People were pretty scared about it, and didn't know if it would be a serious threat or not.

Today in class we finished reading "A rose for Emily". We figured many things out about the story, and then we watched the film for the story.

I enjoyed reading the short story, and watching the film.
