Describe a time that you had an encounter with a homeless person, either directly or indirectly. What did you think and how did it make you feel?

There was a homeless man at the exit of a highway. He had a sign that said anything helps and anything will be appreciated. So my mom handed him an orange we had in the car. He said thank you, but as we drove off, my mom looked at her side mirror and saw that he chucked it far away. I was confused because of what his sign said didn't match up with the result of the orange. It made me not feel sorry for him. He chose to do that, and not be grateful for what he asked for.

Today we started reading a short story and answered questions about it.

I got better at reading comprehension.
