Prompt Response: I've adapted fairly well so far. I am answering in class questions (which was a goal of mine), and getting to know more people in this class. One weakness of mine is all the reading we do. I strive to get better at it as we progress through the year, but as of now it is still a challenge for me to focus, and retain the information we just read. For example in "The Jealous Father", I was doing great in the beginning, but then I lost focus somehow and got lost for a bit. So hopefully I'll get better at that.

Summary: Today we took a quiz on origin myths. We read a new myth, then answered some questions.

Reflection: Today I got better at analyzing origin myths and answering questions about them.

Last year in AP world, there was an assignment due at 11:59pm on Friday, and I planned to finish it when I got home from school on Friday. But when I got home, I played basketball for an hour or two, and came inside and fell asleep unintentionally. I woke up from the nap at 11pm. Then I remembered about the assignment. I thought it was over for me. But I had to make the decision to not play video games with ALL my friends, and complete the assignment in record time. I ended up finishing it with 10 mins to spare, then I played the game. Today we finished reading "The life you save may be your own". And watched the short movie as well. ' I think the short story was engaging, and an overall good read. I got better at reading comprehension, and I'm ready for the quiz tomorrow.

Imagine you are learning about Hispanic/Latino heritage for the very first time. What would you be curious to know about the traditions, foods, music, or celebrations?

I would want to know about their whole culture. I would want to try their foods and see their celebrations and how they are different than our own. Today we did some more practice with clusters. We had the topic of "Overrated", and we had to put 5 things we thought were overrated. I got better at learning how to format and get ideas for what to write in my essay.
